How will I know my tax payment was processed?

You will receive confirmation and a 1040-ES receipt for your records from Ruby Money when your payment has been received by the IRS.

• From your Tax estimate screen you can download 1040-ES receipts for any 2023 estimated tax payments you made through the app and your Schedule C, that includes a summary of the employed income and expenses tracked in Ruby Money.
• Note: You can toggle from the current year to the previous year at the top of the Tax Estimate screen.

You will be also receive a notice in the mail directly from the IRS with steps on tracking your payment in their Electronic Federal Taxes Payment System (EFTPS). The government will match the payment to your account based on the Social Security Number, name, date of birth, and ZIP code.

Make sure you review and confirm the information in the Ruby Money tax payment matches the information listed on your tax return.

How much should I pay in taxes?

The amount you should pay will differ from person to person, based on a number of factors.
